Hey there!

It's really been decades since I've updated, I really don't use this much anymore, nor does.....anybody really. But I feel obligated to post a college post anyway.

Anywho, I'm officially in college now, I still have 2 classes today and I'm worried about both of them, but my classes yesterday look like they are going to be good. I like this place! I think. I'm already pretty used to it.

I'm not used to this whole not having money thing, (at all) but I guess I'll have to...I'm a poor college kid now! Hopefully I'll get a job next semester (work/study if possible!!!!) I'm also not used to this whole no AC thing... I'm about to burn out an industrial fan up here in the third floor.

I'm really proud that I got up at 7 today to workout at the rec, thats so not like me. But heck, the food is good here so ya gotta stay in shape! Tonight is common ground, looking forward to that, and this afternoon is the DREADED English. Why the crap did I decide on hard english. bleh.

Anyways, I hope everyone else's classes are going great. Have a great week. :)

[mood | bored and useless]

I have nothing planned for today, and that about drives me crazy. I feel like I should be doing all that I can before college to get ready for college...but I can't seem to get motivated. Shouldn't I be having fun and enjoying my last few weeks of summer before I start? I really really need to do something to make myself feel productive.

Yay for college [Jul. 31st, 2006|06:20 pm]
[mood | good]

On Saturday Alix and I went on a little road trip to Georgetown. We wandered around campus a while and walked right into our dorm room without talking to a single person. They were doing maintenance so we snuck in the open side door and then found our room, which also was open. It was pretty sweet. We then followed by driving around Georgetown until we found Wal-mart, McD's and other necessary places. So now we're set! All I can say now is that I'm pretty stinkin excited and ready to go.

I guess Myspace isn't working again because when I tryed to log on it said "you must be logged onto do that!" so apparently now you must be logged on to log on. Which makes a whole lot of sense.

Anywho, I just got done with working a week of VBS. Most of the kids were good, some of them were just a little too ADD. I did well not to smack them. Now tonight and tomorrow I have to work a wedding at church. By Sunday I will have been at church 9 days in a row. That's crazy.

I tried donuts today from spalding donuts and they were uber amazing. Nothing better than sugar coated grease.

It might be time for some tater tots and soy nuggets. mmmmm.

Yeah so +/- lists are pretty lame but it was really the only way to sum up one of the most interesting and fun weeks of my summer. It was a really rewarding experience.

So sore, i can't move [Jul. 2nd, 2006|08:06 am]
[mood | contented but freaking sore]

This weekend I got invited to go on this college retreat thing on a Yacht houseboat on the Ohio. It was kind of random and i didn't know i was going until friday afternoon. I went with my friend Emily who lives in Louisville, and it was pretty stinkin fun. First of all, never in my life have I slept on a boat. The sleeping areas were rather small but really is was just like a regular house, except that maybe the mattresses were like bricks. It was such a freaking nice boat.

Anywho, the yacht wasn't even half the fun, in fact it stayed docked the whole time, but they had two jet skis that we kept taking out onto the river. If you haven't jet skied before, you must. It was probably the funnest thing I'll do all summer. They are a little terrifying at first but once emily threw me off once, i realized that falling off just isn't so bad. I didn't really enjoy driving them so much, you feel like your going to flip over whenever you turn. Anyway, we would follow behind these big speedboats and yachts and jump the waves and annoy the crap out of the rich owners. bahaha. We also took out their speedboat and went tubing.... also rather fun.

All this stuff belonged to Dr. Bizer, the guy that owns all the vision places. Except his name is Dr. lin or somethin like that. His daughter is dating one of the guys that was in the college group. They were really nice.

It was a great weekend, met some cool people, ate junk food, did some neat bible studies, and felt like a rich kid. However, somehow my arms, back, butt, and thighs are so sore I'm practically paralyzed, and my bedroom is rocking...weird. Sorry about the long post. :)

[mood | bored]
[music |Boy Meets World on TV]

So what does one do when finished with a bit of work? One goes and lays out by the pool, but there is no sunshine, :(. I might just go lay out anyway.

If anybody wants to come see me today please do, that would be grand, im kinda bored. I'll bribe you with my pool, which is nice and clean and warm.

Just got back from North Carolina, it was quite uneventful, we just ate and sat around, thats pretty much it. Driving 7 hours to be there for just one full day is kinda crazy to me.

Oh yah, the date for my party is the 7th (next friday) it could be moved to the 6th if the 7th doesnt work for a lot of people so tell me what date you prefer. I think it will be from 6 30 to 11 ish. :) Have a great monday!

I'm not sure what I'll do when I get down there, i'll probably be bored... yeah thats about it. Anywho, that will be my weekend, i'll update if anything interesting happens, I'm bringing the laptop and hopefully I'll pick up some sort of internet connection.

Its early, my mom is nagging me to pack now.

I'm lounging by the pool, watching the sunset, listening (singing along) to music, and playing on the laptop...this really is the life. :) I feel like Paris Hilton or something.

Finished the yearbook today, never felt better.

Does anybody want to go to the drive in on thursday? That would be fun.

Its been a great 14 years [Jun. 18th, 2006|02:02 pm]
[mood | sadish]

Last night was my last performance, I've never known a time in my life I havn't danced so it was really sad. The hardest thing in the world has to be letting go of something you love so much, something thats been such a huge part of your life. It's really depressing.

I'm ready for a gathering of some sort. (gah i just discovered the scrolly thing on my touch pad, thats exciting) If anybody is free early in the week this week tell me so maybe we could do something. I'm going to North Carolina at the end of the week.

I heart ATVs [Jun. 14th, 2006|02:56 pm]
[mood | drained]
[music |My Savior My God- Aaron Shust]

I just got back from my church's camping/ canoeing trip. And by camping I mean the guys camped and I slept in a sleeping bag on a recliner in the house. Anyways, I'm pretty stinkin tired, but it was a crapload of fun. I went 4 wheeling for the first time and it was a blast, we just cruised around the farm and went over jumps and stuff. I'm tellin ya, 3 girly girls on an ATV usually means hilarity ensues. We lost the two girls during the canoe trip which was kinda dramatic, when my youth minister went back to find the two of them, all he found was their canoe flipped over without them in sight, he about had a stroke. I'm so glad I had already gone to the house, I would have flipped. See, instead of turning the canoe back over and climbing back in, they left it there in the middle of the river and climbed to shore and walked up to some guys house and called one of their moms. Gah, drama. It was a great trip though.

The rest of this week will be ballet stuff galore, last performance is saturday. :( :(

GAH I love this laptop.

[mood | calm]

Today is my last regular rehearsal for my ballet performance next week, it's all getting really nerve racking. It's coming together pretty well but I'm still worried about several things. Anyways if you want to come tickets are on sale and its next saturday at 8, you really should come, once you endure the little kids tap dancing, the ballet part is actually pretty good. :) Plus its my last one ever, :( but I'm not even to get into how depressing that will be.

Going to Georgetown tomorrow for the whole registration thing. I'm also taking the french language placement exam which is extremely agonizing, can't wait for the whole thing to be over. I have to work after that too (Just cleaning the church).

Je souhaite que je pourrais me rappeler plus français!! Ceci ne va pas ĂȘtre bon.

My brother got a four wheeler, it doesn't run quite yet but he's working on it at the moment, it should be uber fun, i'm excited.

I can't believe that like 3 weeks into summer vacation I'm already back to being stressed. The yearbook deadline for completion is like a week and a half away, and we are running out of days to work on it. Plus some staff members are really slacking. On top of that my very last ballet performance is in a week and the seniors were left to choreograph an entire dance in TWO days. Thats close to impossible. I'm doing my best to remain my laid back unstressed self despite this.

So far this summer I've been able to keep myself plenty busy with a variety of mini jobs without actually being employed. It bugged me at first that I didnt have an actual job, but so far I'm working weekends at the church doing weddings, giving piano lessons, babysitting, going to ballet three days a week, working on the yearbook several days a week, and doing a crap load of yardwork. I'm probably not making as much as people with real jobs but enough to keep me content for now. :)

Going to grand Isle Louisiana July 15-22. Kinda excited, just found out today, wooo. Mission trips are great.

stupid carwash [May. 31st, 2006|10:41 am]
[mood | frustrated]

So this weekend my wonderful father fixed and painted the gimpy bumper of my car. It looked pretty good but the bumper like glowed compared to the rest of my filthy car, so yesterday I decided to get it washed, but to my dismay, I broke the automatic car wash. gahhh
I put my money in, waited for the stupid pickup truck in front of me to leave, then drove forward as it told me to do so. And then nothing happened, frustrated I backed up and went forward again to see if I could trigger the sensor thingy to get it to start... still nothing. Meanwhile the dumba$$es behind me get out of their car and try to tell me I didn't do it right, I mean seriously, I've washed a freakin car before, they then proceed to tell me that I have caused them to also lose their money. My car is filthy and now is covered in the crap that was leaking out of the sprayer thingies. OF COURSE no one was there to help me, and I was already late for ballet so I just left. I was pissed off the rest of the day.

I'm going to go wash my car in the hot sun now.

Oh yeah, don't go to Jeff's on Lex. Ave.
